PAINTING THE LINE IN SANTA BARBARA

lightblueline “care and share” program targets 3rd graders in SB Cty

Kids are hip to the "think globally, act locally" concept and they want to know what they can do to help.

Thanks to a funding from the Santa Barbara Foundation and the Orfalea Foundation, we have a fantastico opportunity to get local students & their familes involved in helping us paint the lightblueline & installing curb markers on the streets of Santa Barbara in September 2007.

This Fall, 3rd grade teachers throughout Santa Barbara County will have a chance to apply for a $250 grant for their classroom to "cultivate the ethic of service and philanthropy in our community". Classrooms can help us paint the line and then spread the word with the rest of their school.

We need volunteers to help create a presentation we can take into 3rd grade classes.

Wanna help us get this up and running? Your comments are most welcome!

Thanks!

3rd grade presentation

Hello!!
I just found out about this project from my roomate and would love to be involved. I am currently a journalism student at Brooks Institute and concentrating in videography. Would a video be helpful for the presentation? I would be excited to volunteer and possibly pursue covering the whole event...please contact me if there's anything at all I can do to help!
Best,
Dominique
