letters to the editor: should we respond?

Is it valuable to respond to letters to the editor in newspapers that might misinterpret the goals or the intentions for lightblueline?

education is always good

Yes, education is always good. Responding accurately to misinformation is desirable and helpful. If one person's mind is changed, that's one more person who understands the purpose — and value — of lightblueline. How can one think that silence in the face of misinformation, any material misinformation, is desirable?!
