Mr. Tanner - GET A CLUE

If you blow O2 into a balloon, eventually - IT WILL BUST. Hence, if you continue to blow CO2 into/around Earth, it too WILL ALSO BUST!!! Plain simple science really. So stubborn, whats the issue? The writing is on the wall, whether or not climate warming is being exaggerated is the only question that can be debated!!!

CO2 is not being blown into

CO2 is not being blown into the earth's atmosphere, its being released from materials already in the atmosphere.

But if you were to blow N2O (nitrous oxide) into the atmosphere, the earth would probably pop faster than if you were using CO2. Nitrous oxide is released from bacteria in the earth's soil, and from cow pies. So please stop eating so much meat because its heating the earth faster than automobile exhaust.

That's the most ridiculous

That's the most ridiculous logic I've ever heard. Your premise is that the Earth's atmosphere is similar to that of a balloon? I agree we need to take environmental action, but ignorant rants like these (often from egotistical celebrities) are what making a lot of people stubborn against change.

"valid emerging science

"valid emerging science showing the greenhouse effect is much weaker than previously thought (read "Chilling Stars" by Svensmark)"
This is not "valid emerging science", this is a pack of discredited nonsense.

Please get a clue, Mr. Tanner.

Remember the old adage

Remember the old adage "correlation does not imply causation"? These global warming activists, have, for decades, been wanting to blame global warming on carbon dioxide, despite valid emerging science showing the greenhouse effect is much weaker than previously thought (read "Chilling Stars" by Svensmark). Sorry, Al Gore's argument that "dissenting" scientists are on oil companies' payrolls doesn't wash as he has shares in Oxy Petroleum! Kyoto is a tax monster, a method of charging the consumer for producers' problems. This creates energy poverty. The best solution to scarce resources would be energy rationing, so EVERYBODY gets a fair share. Kyoto blames the wrong people.

Poll

To start off, I think that your visualizations are both useful and interesting. One thing I would like to see (if you already haven't done it.) are visualizations of different scenarios. You also may want to include information about how much erosion is effected by even small rises in sea level. It isn't just a matter of inundation, even with small sea level rises such as a few centimeters our bluffs (along with the houses on them) will begin to collapse at much faster rates.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this poll is. Are you going to compare it with actual projections?

In order to have a reasonable expectation of repondents coming up with a meaningful response, you would have to at least ask the questions with explicit assumptions about how much more carbon is going to be added to the atmosphere or how much the temperature is going to rise. Even then you would have to expect them to be familiar with the extant literature on the subject.
